I wanted to send you a quick note on my son’s last day at Gateway. Mason joined Gateway almost two years ago, and was greeted by a very sweet, Ms. Amy. She was so kind in making Mason’s first day a joy. Both Mason and I were nervous starting a new place and it is a day I will never forget. I am writing this letter as it is such a bittersweet moment. While I am elated to have both of my kids at the same school, I am sad to be leaving our Gateway family. I know often the notes or encounters you may have to participate in are often when someone has a complaint. Well I wanted to provide a very interesting fact about my experience with Gateway. Prior to Gateway, my daughter was in daycare in Baton Rouge a few years ago, and my son had been with a previous daycare in Prairieville. While both facilities served our needs, I wouldn’t go as far to say as they were family. We had our ups and downs at both facilities. However, in my two years at Gateway I have not had one complaint. That’s correct, not one complaint! Never did I have to have a “conversation” with a teacher, nor have any issues brought to your attention. My son has been a part of your 2 and 3-year-old programs. My daughter was fortunate enough to attend summer camp for the past two years. Your teachers are trained, respectful, and most importantly caring. They truly care for the kids as if they are their own. Your facility is immaculate, as every time I arrived someone was always cleaning. Your office staff is well organized and welcoming. I truly love that the staff really worked to get to know not only the kids, but the parents as well. I have shared my experience with friends and colleagues as I know word of mouth is often the best advertising. As we walk out the door tomorrow I know I will shed a few tears as it will be hard not to walk in the doors of Gateway every day. I am happy to see the school expanding and only hope that others have the experience that we were fortunate to have at Gateway. Hopefully we can continue to be a part of the summer camp program as it truly made a great impression on our family. In closing, many thanks to you, your staff and your teachers.

I just wanted to take this time to tell you how pleased I am with my son Jacques learning French in Ms. Sharon’s class. He sang the French Alphabet for our family, knows 10 colors, and the days of the week. This kind of enrichment is very hard to find in child care and is very much appreciated. Ms. Sharon has gone above her “required” teaching and we are thrilled with our son’s ability to speak French words, in addition to being prepared for Kindergarten.

I wanted to also add how pleased I am with Ms. Kristie Pierre’s two-year-old teacher. Pierre is learning a lot and having so much fun. Her patience and cheerful attitude are an absolute pleasure. I know Pierre is well loved and nurtured in her class.

Lastly, thank you for the parent/child experiences your staff provides weekly in the front hallway. My boys absolutely love the new PE activities with Ms. Becky as well. Our family appreciates everything your school does to make preschool and learning fun and meaningful.

Just wanted to pass this along to you. I’m sure so often you get negative emails or calls. But you know what, I wanted to change it up a bit. I have already sent a message to Tara about this (awhile back), and I’m not sure if she sent my praise to you or not, but after this morning I wanted to confirm it all over! I’m a very picky momma, I’ve been known as “that momma”. We have been to a few daycares in my two kid’s daycare life…. and I just love Gateway. Hayden has been going there for summer camp and after school for I think this would have been our 4^thsummer camp, and Olivia started as the Tot building opened. I think we were like 2^ndor 3^rdon the waiting list and couldn’t wait to get in. But I will honestly say, I have loved every teacher my child(ren) have had. I so wish Hayden would have gone there before kindergarten, but I think you were fairly new and I just had never heard about Gateway. But I need to pass my praise on about Paige. It’s so comforting and peaceful to know my child is in a teacher’s class that I know is being loved, taken care of, and is all around genuine. From the moment a child walks in, Paige immediately just makes it so welcoming to the child and parent. And yes sometimes the kid doesn’t want to leave their parents, for whatever reason, or because they are 2 lol. But I can say when we pull in to the daycare, Olivia says yeahhhhh Paige!! And when we walk in, she is so nicely greeted that you wouldn’t not want to stay. I’ve been to a daycare where they never acknowledged my child, and I would lose my mind. That just speaks volumes to me. But even with Paige, she is such a gentle soul, and she even recognized Olivia changed her ear rings this morning. It’s the little things to me that go a long way because these are truly her “babies” and she is paying attention. I just wanted to let you know though, because Paige is exactly where she need to be (with children) and me as a mom, we are so blessed to have her and I’m so thankful we have a place that Olivia is loved and well taken care of. I wish Paige could go from class to class with Olivia, HA!

But I just wanted you to know, because you are the owner and you have done an awesome job with choosing teachers, and I appreciate that so much, as all other parents do too!

Sorry for the ramble, I just could go on and on though, but I did truly want to let you know how awesome Paige is.
