Where is Gateway Preschool and Technology Center located?

We are located behind Lake Urgent Care on Hwy 73.

What are the hours of operation?

The center is open from 6:00am to 5:30pm.

Can I drop in for a tour?

We conduct tours at 9:30am so parents can see us in action.  You can call the office at 225.313.4959 to schedule a tour.

What is the age group that you service?

Gateway Preschool and Technology Center services children from the ages of 18 months to 5 years old. We offer an after school program for school age children through the age of 12.

Is Gateway Preschool and Technology Center open on the days that public schools are closed and for holidays?

Yes, the center is open on days that the public schools are closed and for all holidays except for ones stated in our handbook. With the exception of an emergency or weather related closing, we will be open.

Can you visit/observe your child whenever you like?

We want our parents to feel welcome anytime, but please keep in mind that the children’s security and education is of the utmost importance to us. We encourage parental participation with class parties and class activities. Prolonged visits are however not permitted due to state regulations.

Does the center administer medicine?

We only administer medicine in life-threatening situations.

Does the center serve food?

Gateway Preschool and Technology believes that nutrition is very important to the development of our children as well as an important key to success. Therefore, we provide well balanced, nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch and snacks including milk. We are a peanut-free facility.
